Laser Therapy

Painless, non-invasive treatment for dogs and cats using laser light.

Our Class 4 therapy laser helps promote healing and relieve pain via photobiomodulation, a process where high frequency light interacts with cells to cause biochemical reactions. Laser therapy results in increased blood flow, decreased inflammation, muscle healing, as well as endorphin release when used to treat the pain of chronic arthritis, tendon, and ligament injuries. What are laser therapy treatments like for dogs and cats?

Laser therapy treatments are quick and painless, making them easily tolerated by most patients. The treatment area does not require clipping or shaving. Your pet will be positioned comfortably and may wear laser-safe goggles for eye protection. If you choose to stay with your pet during therapy, you will be provided with laser-safe eyewear. Treatments typically last 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. Pets often find the warmth of the laser soothing and may even become relaxed or fall asleep during the session.

Will my dog or cat experience side effects after treatments?

After laser treatments, it is uncommon for pets to experience significant side effects. Occasionally, some pets may exhibit mild redness or sensitivity in the treated area, but these effects are usually temporary and resolve quickly. Overall, laser therapy is considered a safe and well-tolerated treatment option for pets.
