As a young child, I always knew my passions would lead me to a field where I got to work with, help and even save animals. At first I wanted to be a veterinarian and that stuck for a long time and I even toyed with the idea of working in zoo-medicine. Fast forward 18 years, 2011, where I got to volunteer at Wild at Heart for an entire summer, cementing my love of wildlife and medicine.

In 2017 I attained a bachelor's in Zoology at Laurentian University. During university, in 2012 I started what would turn into my all time favorite working environment, kennel attendant at WAH. These ladies are incredibly intelligent and insanely hard working. They taught me compassion, common sense and understanding the difficult decisions that need to be made in the hardest situations. They also allowed me to see that my passions were to remain in animal medicine but instead as a technician. Where I would learn all kinds of hands on skill and a deep passion that I didn't know was possible.

I then graduated from University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus and attained my Veterinary Technology diploma in May of 2019. That August I attained by registration and have been an RVT since. Working here has allowed me to fullfill my dreams and learn more about every facet of veterinary medicine. Though dentistry does hold a special place in my heart.
