Dr. Sauvageau joined Walden Animal Hospital in June of 2022 as our priority and urgent care veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Montreal in 1992 and spent the first 22 years of her career in small northern communities practicing on all species, from dogs to alpacas! She moved her professional career to Sudbury in 2012 where she took a position at College Boreal as a medical director and full-time teacher. Missing her true passion, she founded Nickel City Animal Hospital in 2015 where she practiced for 8 years before merging with Walden Animal Hospital and the Vet Strategy group.
After nearly 32 years in the profession, she is still enthusiastic and eager to learn and try new things. When she retires, she will tell you that she has never worked a day in her life! She spends her free time golfing, skiing and at the tennis club. She and her wife have two daughters, a Standard Poodle, a 3-legged Sharpei and two Cornish Rex cats.
